Projects
Throughout the semester, students from the course TLE-1041 were asked to create a variety of activities that involved the use of information and communication technologies. The different projects were mostly created collaboratively, varying from teams of two to four people according to the project. The different tasks helped us develop competency eight of the teacher's professional competencies, which is: “To integrate information and communication technologies in the preparation and delivery of teaching/learning activities and for instructional management and professional development purposes”. Therefore, we are now more at ease with integrating different ICTs into learning and evaluation situations.
Here are the different activities developed in class:
1- Powerpoint game.
This activity consists in a class activity that aimed at verifying mastery of the knowledge previously presented beforehand. This powerpoint game was designed for elementary students from cycle one.

2- Webquest.
In this activity, a webquest was created based on the topic of bees. Through the different steps suggested in the webquest, students will acquaint themselves with the world of bees, more precisely with honey production process. At the end of their project, students reinvest their knowledge by preparing a meal that has honey as the main ingredient.

3- Blog
A blog can be compared to a reflective journal. It is mainly used to record personal thoughts and ideas about various subjects. In this class, we had to comment on our personal blog about different videos or notions presented in class.

4- Wiki
This project was the most complex one since it involved participation of the entire class. The group was seperated into teams of four, in which each team had to design an learning and evaluation situation that would involve the use of a wiki. Moreover, we used the class wiki to present other types of e-based activities such as wordles or glogsters. If you want to take a look at it, I was placed in team number four.

5- Glogster
In this project, students had to create a glogster based on an assigned province of Canada. Our glogster needed to include text, pictures and videos in order to make it as complete as possible. For this assignment, I worked with the same teammates as in the wiki project. Our province was Manitoba.

6- Wordle
This project was probably the most simple one. To create our personal wordle, students had to take a sample of their writing on their personal blog and transform it into a word cloud. This helped us realize what words were repeated throughout our blog.

7- VoiceThread
The VoiceThread is one of the last project team four created. It is similar to a wiki, except that it uses audio recordings. In this task, students had to comment on a given hobby for one minute and respond to the previous classmate's post. To know more about this project, you may go on the class wiki and read the short description of the team four's VoiceThread.
